The Salesforce Developer will analyze business requirements, develop solutions on Salesforce Sales Cloud, provide support, manage configurations, and utilize DevOps practices.
We are looking for Salesforce Developer – Guindy, Chennai.
What you'll be doing:
- Be a part of the IT CRM team and work with the Sales Business Group in Salesforce Sales Cloud to analyze and review business, functional, and technical requirements & issues, design solutions.
- Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required
- Provide Tier 1 support to the business users in case of Priority 1 issues with the system
- Manage Salesforce Sales cloud application using Salesforce Setup menu creating and managing custom objects, fields, formulas, analytic snapshots and report types
- Design, build, and optimize declarative automation solutions using Flow Builder, retiring legacy Workflow Rules and Process Builder where appropriate.
- Knowledge on Lighting Enablement, Aura framework and Lightning web components.
- Proficiency in modern SFDC development tools and practices, including Visual Studio Code, Migration Tools, SOSL, SOQL, and Web Services.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain and modify computer programs of high complexity, significance and risk
- Deploy Visualforce pages, Apex classes and triggers
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and sprint based project delivery
- Experience with SOQL and SOSL queries
What do we seek in you:
- At least 5 years experience working in the IT industry
- 4 years of experience developing custom applications on Salesforce Sales Cloud, with deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and advanced declarative automation (Flow). Mandatory proficiency in Visual Studio Code (VS Code), leveraging AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Einstein Copilot) for efficient development, debugging, and testing.
- Experience in DevOps and applications like GitHub, Copado, etc
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and prioritize among competing tasks and assignments
- Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently without constant supervision and micromanagement
- Must be able to work flexible hours to collaborate with remote IT and business team members
- Expertise in enterprise-grade development patterns (e.g., Apex Enterprise Patterns/fflib) for building scalable and maintainable Apex code.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce governance, security, and compliance, specifically managing and enforcing access via Profiles, Permission Sets, and Custom Permissions.
- Proven experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Git-based version control (e.g., GitHub, Copado) and adherence to conventional commit messages for quality control.
