We own and manage large-scale, business-critical platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle ERP) supporting specific business functions.
The Salesforce Platform Product Owner (PPO) is a senior technical leadership position entrusted with the architectural integrity, innovation, and delivery of the Salesforce technology ecosystem. Operating at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, the PPO ensures that the platform architecture remains robust, scalable, and fully aligned with both current and emerging organizational capabilities. This role is integral to driving digital transformation and delivering a seamless, unified customer experience across all channels and touchpoints.
As a key strategic partner, the PPO works closely with Business Capability Owners (BCOs) to translate business objectives and priorities into an actionable, forward-looking Salesforce platform roadmap. The PPO balances long-term vision with operational excellence, championing platform health, innovation, and resilience. The role demands hands-on leadership, extensive domain expertise across Salesforce and its related clouds, and significant proficiency in platform architecture, development, and technology management.
Reporting to the Head of Platforms, the PPO leads, develops, and mentors the Platform Engineering team—cultivating a culture of high performance, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Platform Ownership and GovernanceDefine and execute the technical platform strategy, architecture, and technology standards to support the business vision defined by the Business Capability Owners.
Translate business objectives into a technical roadmap, ensuring the platform architecture evolves to meet future capabilities prioritized by the BCO.
Drive platform governance by establishing rigorous standards for release management, technical debt reduction, security, and performance optimization.
Own the technical backlog, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and foundational improvements alongside business features.
Act as the "Chief Practitioner" for the platform, applying deep, hands-on expertise across Salesforce Clouds to solve complex architectural challenges.
Lead the design and development of robust, enterprise-grade platform solutions, adhering to architectural best practices, high code quality standards, and enterprise-grade security.
Drive platform innovation by evaluating and adopting new Salesforce features, tools, and third-party technologies.
Foster technical excellence by mentoring the engineering team on complex implementations and enforcing high standards of accountability.
Define technical career paths and learning plans to advance team expertise within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Drive delivery velocity by actively managing technical dependencies and unblocking engineering challenges to ensure on-time execution.
Act as the principal interface between technical teams and BCOs, effectively translating technical issues into business value and needs into technical requirements.
Communicate the platform vision, roadmap, and progress updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Facilitate architectural and delivery decisions, balancing rapid delivery with long-term platform stability and cost efficiency.
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
10+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering Salesforce technology solutions.
5+ years in a Product Owner, Platform Manager, or Enterprise Architect role, with a strong track record of strategic platform leadership.
Demonstrated expertise in defining, maintaining, and executing a multi-year technology roadmap and managing an integrated platform backlog.
Extensive experience collaborating with senior business stakeholders (e.g., BCOs, VPs, Directors) to translate business strategies into actionable platform requirements.
Significant history of successfully managing simultaneous complex projects/issues and coaching solution architects.
Robust industry exposure and experience across multiple business domains.
Deep technical proficiency and hands-on expertise with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Commerce Cloud; experience with Revenue Cloud is a strong asset.
Advanced knowledge of Salesforce technologies, including VisualForce, Apex classes, APEX Web Services, Flex, Salesforce configuration, APIs, AppExchange deployments, and Salesforce.com controls.
Proven ability to design and implement robust release management frameworks and deployment strategies for large-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce environments (Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.).
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Expert understanding of Agile methodologies, with practical experience in platform-level product management (including balancing functional features and non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, and compliance).
Deep commitment to continuous learning, technical excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation.
Salesforce Chief Technical Architect (CTA) certification
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
Deep skills for portfolio / project management on platforms such as Asana, Monday etc
Proactive and results oriented, process oriented.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with all relevant parties.
