Responsible for designing and developing optimized data solutions on SAP HANA and HANA Cloud. Involves data modeling, SQL script development, performance tuning, and collaboration with teams.
We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Developer with expertise in Native HANA and HANA Cloud development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing solutions on both on-premise SAP HANA and SAP HANA Cloud environments, ensuring scalable, high-performance, and secure data models to support business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize data models, calculation views, procedures, and functions in SAP HANA (Native & Cloud).
- Work on data provisioning techniques (SDI, SDA, SLT, Data Services, Smart Data Integration) for real-time and batch scenarios.
- Develop complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, and table functions for business logic implementation.
- Migrate or adapt solutions from Native HANA to HANA Cloud ensuring performance optimization and compatibility.
- Collaborate with functional teams, data architects, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement security models, roles, and privileges to ensure data access compliance.
- Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging of HANA objects and queries.
- Work with CAP (Cloud Application Programming) model and integration with SAP BTP services (for HANA Cloud projects).
- Support end-to-end project lifecycle including design, development, unit testing, and deployment.
- Stay updated on SAP HANA innovations, tools, and best practices for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA Native Development (HANA Studio / Web IDE) and SAP HANA Cloud development.
- Proficiency in SQLScript, Calculation Views, Table Functions, Stored Procedures, CDS Views.
- Hands-on experience in data provisioning tools – SDI, SDA, SLT, Data Services.
- Knowledge of Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model and SAP BTP integration is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics tools (SAC, BW/4HANA integration) preferred.
- Good understanding of security, roles, and authorization concepts in SAP HANA.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps concepts (transport, version control, CI/CD).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
