Job Summary

Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the codebase. Makes decisions affecting architecture of the test codebase including which software to use for writing test code. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and common programming languages. Provides input into various software development lifecycle stages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Executes automated code and creates comprehensive execution reports for team. Repairs complex broken automation scripts and performs peer reviews of automation codebase. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience.

What you will do

This role is an exciting opportunity to join one of our Mobile Development teams. The team creates and maintains applications for encouraging the use of the latest software technologies and testing techniques. 

You will be experienced in manual and automation testing for mobile specific applications.

You will collaborate closely with developers, and other team members to ensure our applications are thoroughly tested in line with our release cadence.

You will utilize your creativity to develop innovative testing strategies, scenarios, and approaches to uncover potential issues in software applications.

You will be challenged to think analytically to understand complex systems, identify patterns, and predict potential areas of concern.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the testing manifesto used to guide the principles and practices of testing. 
  • Promote testing at all steps of the development cycle. 
  • Responsible for facilitating, creating, and executing testing activities to ensure services meet requirements. 
  • Assist the teams with planning, writing, executing, and automating test scripts. 
  • Communicate test results, coverage and making recommendations where necessary. 
  • Participate in delivering projects to meet business objectives. 
  • Join in with the team in interpreting business requirements into technical actions to deliver high quality, customer focused testing solutions. 

What you will bring

Required

Snr (E3)

  • Good experience in App automation testing using tools such as XCTest / Espresso or similar. 
  • Good experience of creating and maintaining manual and automated test scripts 
  • Make sure that the test processes are adhered to.
  • Experience in Swift, Kotlin, Charles or similar  

Desired (All roles)

  • Experience in Typescript
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience in App automation testing using tools such as XCTest / Espresso or similar. 
  • Experience of creating and maintaining automated test scripts

Bachelor's Degree
