Description
This role is categorized as HYBRID . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
The SEM Specialist is a hands-on, results-oriented individual responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of paid search campaigns. This role requires a strong understanding of paid search principles and a passion for data-driven decision-making. The SEM Specialist will execute campaign strategies, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvement within the assigned brand accounts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Channel Development & Advancement: Independently seeks opportunities to learn the processes within own channel, and the tools/approaches that can be applied to these challenges.
  • Campaign Management: Implement, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising).
  • Keyword Research & Targeting: Conduct keyword research, develop targeted ad groups, and refine audience targeting.
  • Ad Copy Creation: Write compelling and effective ad copy that drives clicks and conversions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Closely monitor campaign performance, identify trends, and analyze key metrics (e.g., CTR, conversion rate, CPA).
  • Budget Pacing: Manage campaign budgets and ensure efficient spending to maximize ROI.
  • Reporting: Generate regular performance reports, providing insights into campaign effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on ad copy, landing pages, and other campaign elements to optimize performance.
  • Platform Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of paid search platforms and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Performance Driven Decision Making & Planning: Exercises decision-making skills sufficient to propose solutions to leadership and a plan for utilizing established procedures to create new solutions.
  • Team Cooperation & Development: Builds strong internal relationships by sharing key information with colleagues, supervisors, and project leaders. Actively participates in discussions about team priorities and direction. Clearly communicates relevant facts, practices, and policies, such as campaign performance metrics and optimization strategies, ensuring effective information exchange with team members and leaders.

Additional Description
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in paid search marketing.
  • Bachelor Degree required.
  • Requires theoretical knowledge in specialization and entry-level understanding of practices, typically acquired through an undergraduate degree, certification, or comparable work experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing paid search campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of paid search principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using paid search platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Critical analysis and problem-solving skills developed through professional study or comparable experience sufficient to identify, describe, and make recommendations relative to business challenges impacting their area on a day-to-day basis. Applies a body of professional/theoretical knowledge and problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works under direct guidance and task-oriented supervision, employees will typically follow a defined process but are required to plan and organize their own work.
