Position Summary
We are currently looking for a motivated, collaborative, and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic, high-growth company. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, APAC (who is based in London), this position will be located in the market and will focus on our business growth in India and Australia across key mass cosmetics retailers and distributor partnerships.
The ideal candidate is someone who embraces e.l.f.’s dynamic culture of executing with speed and quality to drive solutions. They need to have strong relationship-building skills, strong business acumen and financial ability. They need to be a self-starter with at least 3 years of relevant sales experience in the Beauty industry, ideally with experience working with distributors. Strong planning and activation skills and the ability to think strategically and tactically are also necessary in this role as they will be asked to create and manage trade plans and customer fixture and merchandising vehicles with our internal creative team and 3rd party vendors. The ideal hire will be someone with demonstrable skills working effectively with internal and external cross-functional partners while thriving in an entrepreneurial environment comfortable with collaboration across all parts of the business.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retailer and distributor partnerships across India and Australia.
- Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with our partners.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans with the distributors to drive revenue growth.
- Oversee account budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to meet revenue and profitability targets.
- Analyze and provide monthly updates and reports on retailer and distributor performance, identifying areas of improvement or potential risks.
- Develop a deep understanding of our distributors and retail accounts they manage and local market dynamics in India and Australia to shape and support account strategies.
- Leverage deep knowledge of market conditions, legal regulations, and business practices to inform strategy.
- Alongside internal terms, ensure marketing campaigns, communications, and services are culturally relevant and compliant in each region.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, regulatory and operations, to improve communication and service levels for our partners.
- In partnership with the Senior Sales Manager, Oversee and manage key components of retailer/distributor P&L, including sales revenue, trade margins, VM and trade marketing.
Requirements
- Candidates will need to be based in Ahmedabad/Mumbai, be fluent in local language and English
- Flexibility with working hours, to allow for calls within assigned time zones (APAC, Australia) and the UK/ US.
- Willing and able to travel within the assigned region
- BA or BSc required
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Senior Sales within in Beauty Industry.
- Previous experience working with distributors
- Experience within mass cosmetics would be a bonus
- Leadership ability and a willingness to take responsibility and accountability
- Strong business acumen and financial ability
