Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant plays a critical role in managing end-to-end financial reporting and analysis for one of our key business divisions. This position ensures accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and analysis to support decision-making across leadership and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting skills, excellent analytical abilities, and experience in driving process improvements in a dynamic, global work environment.
Reporting StructureThis position reports directly to the Finance Director.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present monthly and annual financial statements for internal and external reporting.
Manage revenue recognition, project costing, and financial analysis activities.
Prepare and post general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain intercompany account integrity.
Assist in financial audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
Review and analyze financial data to identify inconsistencies or areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models for reporting and forecasting.
Recommend and implement process and system improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
Support operations and M&A activities by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support compliance and reporting needs.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Sage ERP systems.
Sound understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
Experience in Payroll, Banking, and VAT return filings.
Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Master’s degree or CA Inter preferred).
3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
Minimum 5 years of experience using advanced Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Proven ability to manage month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting independently.
Excellent command of English (verbal and written) communication.
Remote work setup (India-based).
May involve extended screen time during financial close periods.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
