About the Job:
As a Senior AI Website Specialist, your mission is to lead the delivery of technically sound, scalable, and SEO-optimized websites while serving as a peer mentor and systems thinker within the AI Website Services team. You will drive continuous improvement in delivery quality, AI workflow efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll take full ownership of complex builds and escalations, support the team lead in workflow and project planning, and proactively improve how AI tools are used across the department. At this level, you're not just executing work—you’re helping shape the systems and culture that make the work better.
Note:
This role requires working in CST shift hours, from 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST, at our Chennai office (Work from Office).

Your Impact:

As a Senior AI Website Specialist, you'll

• Independently build and manage complex websites in WordPress and Website Pro, including custom page layouts, conditional logic, plugin integration, and e-commerce features
• Resolve advanced technical challenges such as styling conflicts, broken structures, or performance issues
• Ensure all sites meet Vendasta QA, accessibility, and brand standards through rigorous testing and self-review
• Take ownership of escalated or at-risk website tickets, communicating clearly with stakeholders and delivering timely solutions

• Create and refine custom prompts to enhance AI-driven content layout, page QA, metadata generation, and troubleshooting
• Analyse the performance and usability of AI-enhanced workflows and recommend improvements to the team lead
• Partner with peers to expand Vendasta’s internal prompt libraries and AI tool documentation
• Identify friction points or gaps in website processes and propose AI-based or technical improvements

• Provide informal mentorship to AI Website Associates and Specialists by reviewing work, sharing knowledge, and offering feedback on complex cases
• Participate in onboarding and training activities for new hires or interns, especially around AI tooling and formatting standards
• Lead by example with clear documentation, consistent adherence to SOPs, and a strong QA track record
• Share updates, tools, or insights during retrospectives and team syncs

• Partner with the Team Lead to support project prioritization, backlog grooming, and build strategy for multi-site launches or high-volume clients
• Contribute to internal improvement initiatives (e.g., template audits, page performance studies, AI experimentation)
• Collaborate with SEO, Product Marketing, or Partner Success when website work intersects with broader business objectives
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in web development practices and AI applications  within the services org
  

What You Bring to the Table:

• 4+ years of experience in website production, digital development, or technical web support
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Web Development, Marketing, or related field preferred
• Advanced expertise in WordPress, WooCommerce, and CMS configuration, including theme and plugin management
• Proficiency with HTML/CSS and a strong ability to debug front-end issues
• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and mobile-first layouts
• Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, image generators) to improve content layout, QA automation, or code troubleshooting
• Demonstrated ability to edit and improve prompts for efficiency and quality
• Working knowledge of SEO principles (on-page and structural), schema setup, and analytics tagging
• Comfortable mentoring peers, giving feedback, and reviewing the work of others
• Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA/GA4), Tag Manager, and web performance tracking tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and occasionally with external partners
