Overview:
The Senior Analyst role is a key position within the D&A Business Insights team that is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of analytic solutions across the Data & Analytics business.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for exploring multifaceted datasets, building descriptive and prescriptive frameworks, and communicating insight via data visualization. In addition to possessing the technical skills, the candidate also be experienced in building multi-functional relationships and communicating technical language to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
Learn and understand LSEG’s strategy across all business divisions – our customers, products, competition, market position and the key challenges facing the organisation
Blend business and technical knowledge to develop solutions.
Develop and maintain databases & visualization solutions that allow partners to consume insights
Exploratory Data profiling & Operationalization of Data driven strategies
Able to translate sophisticated, insight into what it means for the business, the “so what”, resulting in recommendations and positive outcomes.
Ability to see opportunities for improvements in underlying data quality and reporting.
Intellectual curiosity, strong reasoning skills
Consultative, collaborative approach & positive attitude
Essential skills:
Excellent problem solving skills with a demonstrable ability to tackle problems and deliver insights to support the business
Hands-on experience in SQL programming is preferred
Experience of visualisation platforms such as Power BI
Understanding of how analytics and insights support the organisation
Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to explain concepts
