Zynga is seeking a Senior Art Generalist with a strong passion for games, exceptional art skills, and an impressive portfolio to join our talented team. If you’re a creative generalist who has always dreamed of working in the gaming industry, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director/Art Lead to shape, uphold, and elevate the visual identity, brand standards, and overall artistic consistency across all game visuals.
What You Will Do:
- Create finished in-game and marketing art, animation and vfx visuals that are both functional and visually compelling, grounded in strong art and design principles and providing a great gameplay visual experience for our players.
- Conceptualize ideas based on briefs, develop rough drafts, and present visual directions as required.
- Bring fresh ideas proactively, analyze design challenges, and propose multiple creative solutions.
- Maintain high-quality output, consistency, and efficiency across all deliverables.
- Actively contribute to Zynga’s collaborative, learning-oriented, and creativity-driven culture.
What You Bring:
- 6–10 years of professional experience in art, design, and/or game production.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating solid understanding of art fundamentals and design solutioning.
- Ability to produce quick sketches and whiteboard ideas to communicate concepts.
- Experience creating line-art concepts and coloured illustrations.
- Experience creating 2D animations and vfx, preferably in Unity.
- Strong capability to match and work within the game’s established art style.
- Good understanding of UI principles.
- A passion for playing games and an understanding of good gameplay experience.
- Ability to understand basic game logic to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams during feature development
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Technically sound, adaptable, and able to work within evolving workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with different functions.
- Very good practical knowledge of standard visual development software – e.g. Photoshop, Unity, After Effects, Spine a bonus.
- Game Engines: Unity.
