As a Senior Medical Coder, you will be responsible for assigning ICD and CPT codes based on the medical records provided, following ICD and federal/Payor guidelines and client requirements for Evaluation and Management services and other Outpatient Procedures and surgery services.
What you'll do
- Perform activities involving the coding of medical records by ascribing accurate diagnosis and CPT codes as per ICD-10 and CPT-4 systems of Coding
- Perform coding for records performed with a minimum of 99% accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements.
- Exceeds the productivity standards as per the productivity norms in the project
- Maintains a high degree of professional and ethical standards.
- Focuses on updating coding skills, knowledge, and accuracy by participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences
- Based on performance that you will be holding the responsibility for Quality Process and Subject matter expert roles
What you have
- Graduates in life sciences with 3 - 5 years of experience in both Outpatient and Inpatient settings along with Gastro, Ortho and Catheterization procedures
- Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC certification from AAPC /AHIMA is mandatory
- Current coding certification with valid proof of certifications
- Good knowledge of medical coding concepts, and principles
