JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
What you will do:
Design System Leadership & AI Integration
- Build and maintain a robust, scalable design system that unifies typography, colour, spacing, motion, and UI components across all products.
- Create and evolve documentation and interactive guidelines that clearly define visual language, component usage, and behavioural patterns.
- Ensure seamless integration with engineering workflows, bridging tokens to code via tools like Storybook, Supernova, or Git-based handoffs.
- Introduce and operationalize AI-assisted design practices to drive efficiency (e.g., component generation, variant suggestions, automated documentation).
- Champion design system governance, including version control, contribution models, adoption audits, and training.
- Partner with engineering and design ops to evolve token management and accessibility compliance.
Product Design & Prototyping
- Translate complex product requirements into wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver delightful, usable, and conversion-optimized experiences.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., for user flow testing or rapid prototyping) to enhance iteration speed and innovation.
User Research & Experience Strategy
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research (e.g., interviews, usability tests, analytics reviews).
- Translate insights into actionable design decisions through personas, journey maps, and service blueprints.
- Collaborate on defining success metrics and validating design outcomes through A/B testing or funnel analytics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to align on product vision and execution strategy.
- Present design rationale clearly and persuasively at multiple levels of the organization.
- Act as a design system and AI evangelist across teams, nurturing adoption and shared design language.
REQUIREMENTS:
Who you are:
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field preferred
Professional Experience
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with 2 years+ design system building experience
- Proven track record of delivering user-friendly, impactful design solutions
- Strong portfolio / use cases to demonstrate problem solving process
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in design software like Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with prototyping and testing tools
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks is a MUST
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and guide team members toward shared creative goals
