Title: Power BI Developer
Location: India, Remote
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Business Intelligence Analyst III designs, develops, and maintains scalable Power BI dashboards and data models that deliver actionable insights across the organization. This role focuses on translating complex business and technical requirements into effective reporting solutions that leverage Snowflake and related data sources. The analyst applies advanced Power BI, SQL, and data modeling skills to create reliable and performant analytics tools for decision-makers. Collaboration with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders is essential to ensure data integrity, consistency, and value. The position supports a culture of data accuracy, governance, and continuous improvement across the BI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, interpret, and document reporting and analytical requirements from stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, datasets, and data models leveraging Snowflake as a primary data source.
- Write and optimize SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M) code for accurate and high-performing reports.
- Partner with data engineers and architects to improve data model structures and data accessibility.
- Support report troubleshooting, performance tuning, and publishing through Power BI Service.
- Maintain workspace organization, access roles, and dataset governance standards.
- Ensure alignment between business definitions and data model design for consistent reporting.
- Document BI solutions, share best practices, and contribute to BI enablement efforts.
- Perform all other duties and activities as required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Experience working with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse).
- Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling (fact/dimension, normalization, denormalization).
- Familiarity with Power BI Service (publishing, workspaces, gateways, security roles).
PREFERRED:
- Experience with dbt, Azure Data Factory, or other data orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with Power BI administration (deployment pipelines, workspace management).
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of data cataloging or metadata management tools.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
- Proficiency with Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran
- Strong SQL skills and experience with dimensional and normalized data modeling
- Experience supporting BI/reporting solutions, required experience in Power BI
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and collaborative development practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex data challenges
- Effective communicator able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on schedule
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence standards and practices
