- Analyze and understand existing source reports, including functionality, data sources, and business usage.
- Redevelop reports in Tableau, ensuring improved functionality and visual appeal.
- Optimize and consolidate underlying data models for enhanced performance and maintainability.
- Identify and flag redundant or unused reports for consolidation or retirement.
- Validate migration approach, design standards, and data model decisions with stakeholders.
- Guide and review the work of junior developers, maintaining quality and best practices.
- Perform data validation and testing to ensure accurate report migration.
- Document migration processes, data lineage, and design decisions.
- Coordinate with business users for requirement clarification and report sign-off.
- 5+ years of overall BI development experience, with hands-on expertise in Spotfire and Tableau.
- Proven track record in Spotfire-to-Tableau migration projects is a must.
- Proficiency in Tableau dashboard development, calculated fields, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles and model optimizations.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and validation.
- Familiarity with GCP is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and reverse-engineer Spotfire reports.
- Ability to mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.
- Experience with SQL Server, GCP, or similar data platforms feeding into BI tools is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications in Tableau or similar BI tools are desirable.
