Hybrid: This means the successful candidate is expected to report to their primary location (Warren, MI) three times per week, at minimum.The Role:As a member of the Data Engineering organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a rich and rapidly growing dataset. Join our team responsible for providing the data that delivers key insights on how our systems perform in the field.What You'll do:Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and systems for data collection.Manage data collection configurations in existing systems.Monitor, optimize, and modernize existing methods of data capture.Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.Develop new processes and methods for configuring in-vehicle data captureEnsure data quality and integrity.Understand the signals in the vehicle, the purpose and use of the data, and ensure signal fitness for purpose.Work with business partners on data-related issues and develop solutions to support their data needsDevelop, execute, and manage data validation tests.

Your Skills Abilities (Required Qualifications)Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 5+ years of relevant experienceExperience with in-vehicle communication networks.Experience with big data technologies (such as Azure).Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.Ability to tackle problems quickly and completelyAbility to identify tasks which require automation and automate themA demonstrable understanding of networking/distributed computing environment conceptsAbility to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environmentWhat Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)5+ years of experience with in-vehicle communication networks.5+ years of experience with big data technologies (such as Azure).
