Aim of the Position :
The purpose of this position is to support our cross media measurement in Poland, Ukraine, Adriatic and support the international TAM business across the region. Responsibilities range from BAU reporting, analysis, optimizing the current codebase, lightweight automation, to new product and methodology implementations.
Cooperating with the stakeholders and other Data Science team in the organization. Ensuring analytic and technical support to the clients, supporting client engagement under the Data Science topics.
Supporting local Operation teams at data quality control, data validation and process improvement. Contribution to internal DSCI topic related projects. Contribution to audit procedures. Contribution to tender procedures to keep and grow the business footprint of Nielsen.
Responsibilities :
- Set up tailor made large scale survey design, implement and improve sampling and weighting methodologies, establish and improve questionnaire design.
- Create universe estimation from survey database and / or third party data.
- Design, implement and improve methodologies, including multivariable statistical models are applied for :
- Data validation and quality control to ensure data quality standards are achieved
- Complex trend analyses of linear and nonlinear viewing.
- Viewing behavior analysis to detect any abnormality on the trends.
- Checking extreme viewers to verify the consistency of the behavioral trend.
- Panel behavior analysis to detect any abnormality on the trends.
- Recommending design and analyzing the outcome of pilot projects for operational process improvement.
- Ensure methodologies are fit for purpose and working as intended; troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve when they are not.
- Coding for
- Deploy and maintain scalable, reusable/modular data procedures, and models for analytical, or reporting purposes.
- Automatize regular analyses and data procedures.
- Develop, implement and maintain good programming standards and practices across our data science and analytics codebases.
- Communicate research findings
- Present to varying audiences, internal and external clients
- Data visualization, including building dashboards
- Create methodological, product and process documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams to productionize, validate, analyze and/or optimize methodologies
Skills :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative research field, such as computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, biological/physical sciences, economics, social science.
- Outstanding statistical and analytical skills
- 4+ years research and code development experience in a business setting.
- Strong proficiency with Python and R / SPSS.
- Java, Spark, SQL, Unix, git, and AWS (S3 and EC2) + Machine learning fundamentals are advantage.
- Collaborative code development experience, including version control, unit/integration testing, code review and sharing is advantage.
- Language skills: Polish and English full professional proficiency. Ukrainian would be an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent debugging skills
