Job Scope:
As a Senior Design Engineer for Thickening and Separation, you will be part of a high-motivated and impactful global Upgrades and Rebuilds (U&R) team which ensures the successful offering to global install base by implementing best practices. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in a multinational organization and in an environment involving different cultures and different challenges.
Your responsibilities:

Design solutions for upgrade and rebuild of discontinued separation products and thickener drives where FLS has a large legacy installed base. The technologies include Screw/Spiral & Rake Classifiers, Hydrosizers, Slakers, Heavy Media Drums, and Dorr-Oliver/ Eimco drives.

Capture and control FLS IP of legacy products that are no longer supported by product engineering.

Maintain and grow the engineering database of legacy products in the central global engineering system, including a full set of manufacturing drawings and manuals.

Work with fabricators to ensure high quality is delivered on time and according to FLS specifications.

Provide technical support to the entire U&R team including Upgrades, Rebuilds, Proposals, and Exchange in all phases of offering L2O, O2O, O2C.

Collaborate with Global Service Line Managers (GSLM) in developing U&R solutions.

Play a key role in preparing technical scope and assessing the feasibility of proposed solutions.

Actively contribute to the growth of the U&R business through a proactive focus on Rebuild and Upgrade opportunities in collaboration with RSLMs and GSLMs.

Work closely with Product BL engineers to ensure that U&R engineering solutions are in line with the next generation of products and mission-zero objectives.

Generate monthly reports, highlighting successes, identifying bottlenecks, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Promote a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.
What you bring:

Product knowledge of Separation Products and Dorr-Oliver/ Eimco Drive mechanisms.

Design experience in Drive mechanism and/or Separation products.
-
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLM tools (Enovia).

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing).
-
Engineering certification would be an added advantage
-
Good communication skills and attitude.

Coordination with global teams.

Independent thinking with a structured approach to tasks.
