Job Description
- Experienced Mechanical Designer with a minimum of 6 years of work experience in mechanical engineering design and drafting using SolidWorks CAD software, detailed design, manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials release.
- Experience in Industrial Machineries and Equipment such as Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile and Paper machineries and discrete product machineries, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design optimization for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
- Hands-on experience in sheet metal and weldment design using SolidWorks.
- Skilled in interpreting 2D drawings and converting them into 3D CAD models
- Experience working with PDM/PLM systems like SolidWorks EPDM or Windchill for design data management and version control.
- Exposure to various manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, casting, and assembly.
Domains/Machineries preferred:
- Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile, Paper machinery, discrete product machinery SPM’s from
- Heavy engineering (construction machinery excluded)
- Electronics & Semiconductor
- Medical and biotech

Job Specifications
Technical Skills
- 3D CAD modelling and detailing engineering – should be able to create 3D models and associated 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
- Adherence to CAD standards – ISO, DIN, ANSI.
- Knowledgeable of Electromechanical Purchase parts (sprockets, belts, etc.).
- Exposure to machine building.
- Experience in sheet metal and weldment design using SolidWorks.
- Understanding of tolerance stack-up and DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly).
- Hands-on experience with PLM/PDM systems such as EPDM or Windchill.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes including machining, casting, and fabrication.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Attention to detail, Teamworking skills, with ability to work on his own.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Good Oral and Written communication skills in English.
Education and Experience
Required Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Five to Eight (5 to 8) years of experience.
- Working experience in OEMs preferable.
