Summary Section

As part of the electrical engineering team you will be involved in the design of electrical systems for the oil and gas and/or power including renewable energies industries. This may be a conceptual study or front-end engineering design (FEED) or a design execution involving, the procurement of all equipment and detailed drawings for the construction and commissioning of an entire facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Shall be able to read, understand and implement client specifications / local / international standards
  • Shall have good knowledge of electrical equipment like MV/LV Switchgears, transformers, UPS etc.
  • Shall be able to prepare technical specifications and datasheets for electrical items with minimum supervision.
  • Shall have good understanding of various electrical layouts and shall be able to guide and check work performed by designers
  • Shall be able to understand overall power distribution scheme and SLDs
  • Shall be able to prepare load list, load calculations, cable sizing, earthing and lighting calculations including preparation of cable schedules and interconnection diagrams
  • Shall be able to understand and prepare basic control schematics
  • Shall be able to perform vendor drawing review of Electrical items and mechanical packages
  • Shall be aware of and implement relevant HSE aspects while performing assigned tasks
  • Working experience in ETAP / SPEL will be an added advantage
  • Shall have good written and oral communication skills
  • Shall be able to work in multi-cultural environment
Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Shall have a Bachelor’s Degree (Full Time) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • 8 - 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas / industrial projects
