We are looking for an outstanding engineer to join our Workflows team. The candidate should have a strong background in Build systems, Software Configuration Management, DevOps, and CI/CD workflows to support our infrastructure. The position will be part of a fast-paced crew that develops and maintains sophisticated Build systems used for building diverse operating systems, GPU drivers.
What you'll be doing:
Develop and maintain Build systems catering different operating systems like Automotive, L4T, Android etc. and GPU drivers
Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard new build workflows
Evaluate new Host OS systems (Windows/Linux), compilers and toolchains to keep-up with newly available versions
Explore next-gen build systems and drive opportunities to optimize existing systems for continuous improvements
Develop new strategies to improve stability of builds solving intermittencies, incremental build inefficiencies
What we need to see:
B.E./B.Tech. or Equivalent degree in CS/CE
5+ years of proven experience working in a DevOps environment.
Expertise with GNU Make/CMake is a must
Prior experience in working with one of the build systems is a plus (Android, Ninja, Yocto, Bazel etc.)
Strong under standing of data structures and programming languages Python, Unix scripting skills
Working Experience with Perforce, GIT or any other version control system is vital.
Solid understanding of Branching workflows and continuous integration and delivery tools like Jenkins, etc.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with keen interest for solving complex problems
Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and communicate well.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Understanding of C/C++ compilation techniques and toolchains used.
Exposure to build systems (make, cmake, bazel) and containerized
Good understanding of packaging workflows
Nag to build quality documents and present the solutions.
Outstanding partnership skills across interpersonal boundaries
