Sr. DevOps Engineer will be part of a global team supporting multiple SaaS environments that help make the world a safer place. We use Azure as our core, but host on multiple platforms due to specific needs and our rapid pace of development and acquisition. The environment is rapidly changing from IaaS to PaaS to serverless. So, you’ll need to both apply your current skillsets and learn new things on a daily basis to push the business forward. While you’ll ultimately need a diversity of expert level skills to succeed, having deep understanding and experience in just a couple of areas (cloud infrastructure, scripting, automation, etc) may just get you in the door to a great career.

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical guidance on large/complex systems and platform opportunities.
  • Design, deploy, and automate large complex SaaS cloud applications.
  • Innovate to ensure solutions are optimized for cost and performance
  • Troubleshoot complex availability and performance issues
  • Train other DevOps resources on new technologies, tools, and deployments
  • Lead projects to deploy new products and product extensions from Dev to Production.
  • Support technical calls for customer escalations and engagements.
  • Conduct periodic on call duties.
  • Write documentation for peers and business partners supporting applicable systems.

What you’ll need

  • Strong experience with Azure Cloud, Management & Operations.
  • Experience creating pipelines (CI/CD) and automating SaaS solutions in Azure.
  • Strong automation skills both with scripting languages and Terraform, ARM, etc
  • Ability to build and optimize cloud-based networks (VNets, App Gateways, etc)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple disciplines.
  • Solid foundation in either IT and/or Software Engineering
  • Ability to build environments from the ground up (windows, linux, SQL, Redis, WebApps, etc)
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, App Services, or similar orchestration tools
  • Azure API management or similar
  • Experience with security tools (including CheckPoint) and best practices
  • Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, Presto (or similar BI/Big Data tech)
