Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Order Engineering

Job Title: Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Order Engineering
Location: India Supply Unit, Chennai
Are you the One?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in design/R&D or order engineering, escalator products or experience is preferred
• Sound knowledge in CREO & AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of basic cost levels of different components and solutions is preferred
• Understanding of layouts. VBA/MS office macros development is added advantage
• Understanding of mechanical designing, mechanical interfacing with building and other components, connectivity protocols and associated regulations
• Working knowledge of General Arrangement Drawings, components listing, interfacing in Mechanical CAD, CREO, 3D Modelling software, Solid works
• MS Office Automation knowledge is preferrable

What will you be doing?

• Analyses technical requirements and selects the optimal product/solution that meet the customer needs
• Designs the solutions and/or components to meet customer specific requirement
• Clarifies with relevant stakeholders in case of unclear requirements and decides the solution
• Layout preparation is added advantage
• Creates drawings, engineering structures, material list and other relevant outputs for the solution
• Coordinate with cross functional teams and complete the assigned tasks on time
