JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform system integration and enhancement for the broadcast & video platform (e.g. Video Compression systems, OTT platform and Conditional Access System (CAS)) according to new business or operational requirements. This covers multidiscipline areas such as hardware/servers, operating system, database, network, application, interfaces and rack/wiring.
- Supervise and lead all acceptance test execution on various project within the broadcast & video platform.
- Collaborate with vendors during the integration, test and execution of the live systems migration.
- Develop and enhance junior staff technical skills on various systems component.
- Coordination of training and hand-over of technical know-how to operations team.
- Assist in designing and developing future broadcast & video platform.
- Assist in research and development of technical specifications and new products.
- Identify the critical elements, which are missing in the acceptance test plan proposed by vendor.
- Identify issues and anomalies on applications and systems prior to the commercial release on the transmission systems.
- Answer technical queries from other departments especially broadcast operations, information technology and subscriber management.
- To identify the root cause of the problem and solve problems reported from the users in conjunction with vendor.
- Perform troubleshooting and fault finding on broadcast & video platform.
REQUIREMENTS:
WHO YOU ARE:
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or Software Engineering / Broadcast Engineering with at least 3-4 years of experience in digital broadcasting company.
- Computer literate and good knowledge on Windows, Linux, Microsoft Office
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia language both spoken and written
- Good project planning and management skills.
- Good problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
