Job description:                

   

  • Develop control systems to automate processes and machinery used in industrial environments, with a focus on HMI and SCADA applications. Responsibilities include a wide range of software and control tasks such as application development using C# and C++, HMI/SCADA design, implementation, system testing, debugging, and providing remote technical support when required. The role involves analyzing user requirements and designing operator interface solutions that enable efficient setup and operation of equipment and production lines. The candidate will be responsible for managing the interface between the control layer and the visualization layer, ensuring seamless communication and performance. A strong ability to understand control system architecture, interpret functional requirements, and work with industrial communication protocols is essential. The position also involves close collaboration with the U.S. engineering/controls team, supporting the integration of new systems, in-house developments, and customer-site implementations by applying sound engineering practices and delivering reliable, high-quality automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions for industrial automation systems using C# technologies, including Console Applications and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), with a focus on HMI and SCADA applications.

  • Analyze user requirements and contribute to the design of control system architecture and functional specifications in collaboration with engineering teams, customers, and other stakeholders.

  •  Apply strong programming skills in C# and C++, along with hardware/software integration techniques, to support machine-based control systems and operator interfaces.

  •  Work with SQL databases for efficient data storage, retrieval, and management, supporting diagnostics, reporting, and data-driven functionalities.

  •  Integrate software systems with industrial field devices, PLCs, and controllers, implementing and maintaining communication protocols for reliable data exchange.

  • Develop, maintain, and document software systems, including diagnostics, information systems, data collection processes, and communication networks.

  • Review, test, and debug applications to ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability in both development and production environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, service, and field personnel, to support system design, implementation, installation, and commissioning.

  •  Interface with customers and suppliers to understand technical requirements and contribute to delivering optimal automation solutions.

  •  Troubleshoot system malfunctions and provide effective solutions, along with recommendations to improve system efficiency and operational quality.

  •  Support system installation, commissioning, and startup activities, including remote or on-site assistance when required.

  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and advancements in software development, control systems, and industrial communication protocols.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including software design, system configurations, and operational guidelines.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members when necessary and contribute to overall team knowledge sharing.

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of project and organizational goals.

  • May travel to customer sites to lead or support testing, commissioning, and/or startup of industrial equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Core Automation Skills:

  • Strong experience in HMI design, development, and deployment using C# programming, particularlywith Console Applications and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).

  • Solid programming expertise in C#, with working knowledge of C++ for industrial applications.

  • Good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts, including MS SQL Server, with the ability to write medium to complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

  • Experience integrating software with industrial systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and field instrumentation devices.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills with a systematic approach to fault diagnosis and optimization

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimum guidance 

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong experience in HMI development using C# programming language, including building applications with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) – Mandatory

  • Proficiency in C# programming with the ability to develop scalable and maintainable applications for customized SCADA systems – Mandatory

  • Working knowledge of C++ for performance-critical or system-level components in industrial applications – Mandatory

  • Strong expertise in MS SQL Server and SQL scripting, including queries, stored procedures, functions, and database design – Mandatory

  • Experience in developing and integrating customized SCADA solutions, including real-time data acquisition, visualization, and control – Mandatory

  • Knowledge of React.js for developing modern web-based interfaces or dashboards -Added advantage.

  • Proficiency in scripting and advanced database integration techniques-Added advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with USA client team

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to focus on important information and identify key details

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities

  • Teamworking skills with ability to work on his own

Education and Experience:

 

  •        Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science

  •        Minimum 5-7 years of industrial automation experience

  •        Experience with OEMs in packaging, printing, or converting and machine building division is preferred

Travel:

  •       Willing to travel to Europe and the U.S. for short-term field commissioning or project support
