The Senior Engineer IT is responsible for software development and implementation, specializing in database solutions with Microsoft SQL Server, data analysis, ETL processes, and SSIS package management. This role also involves collaborating with various methodologies and ensuring effective implementation of business requirements.
Job Description:Qualifications:
Specific Technical Expertise
- Understanding of various project development methodologies including Agile and waterfall and overall SDLC Process.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software development framework and related development environments
- Databases – Experienced with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher. Familiar with CTE and New features available in SQL Server 2016 and above.
- Proficient in developing and implementing procedures and functions. Ability to performance tune the queries.
- Experience in understanding complex data models and designing quality database solutions.
- Experience in data analysis and research.
- Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and implementing according to the business requirements
- Experience in Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading ETL between systems, file formats, using various SQL tools like SSIS.
- Experience in SSIS package Deployment methodology.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot SSIS packages.
- Familiar with Object-Oriented concepts and Design Patterns.
- Hands on experience of OO Development methodology in n-tiered Client/Server and Web based environments
- Programming languages – C# (.net core and Entity Framework).
- Other - Knowledge of XML, XSLT, ADO.NET, Tibco Topic/Queue
- Experience working with Third Party Vendor Systems.
Nice to have Technical Expertise
- Working Knowledge with REST API’s).
- Knowledge of AWS technologies,. CI/CD pipeline, bitbucket, SNS/SQS Queue
- Knowledge of React, redux, other Javascript frameworks like Angular, ASP.NET MVC, JQuery
Domain Knowledge (Not required but a big plus.)
- Familiar with broker/dealer and securities processing.
- Familiar with industry standard feeds such as DTCC/DAZL/DST.
- Familiar with clearing firms and data aggregators such as Pershing/Albridge.
