We are seeking a Core Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the configuration, troubleshooting, trouble ticket management of PS Core (Data) within the Ericsson Network Architecture. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, availability, and performance of the packet core network infrastructure, while contributing to process improvements and security audits.
What You Will Do• Ensure configuration, upgrades, and updates on various Ericsson PS Core nodes including MME (Mobility Management Entity), SGW (Serving Gateway), PGW/EPG (Packet Data Network Gateway / Evolved Packet Gateway), HSS (Home Subscriber Server), SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node), GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node), and CG (Charging Gateway).• Monitor and review Trouble Tickets (TT), Change Requests (CR), and Access Tickets (AT) on a daily basis.• Ensure MSTOP processes are strictly followed in the workplace.• Ensure password policies, security compliance standards, and periodic security audits are properly implemented and adhered to across all PS Core nodes.• Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of operational procedures and routines within the department/group.• Participate in internal technical discussions to enhance overall network performance and recommend optimization initiatives wherever possible.• Execute system configuration-related changes as per defined access rights and operational guidelines.• Provide 2nd Level support for Packet Core Operations across GSM, GPRS and LTE technologies.• Support and manage virtualized core environments including vEPC (MME/SGW/PGW/EPG) deployed on virtual platforms (NFVI/Cloud infrastructure).• Perform health checks, KPI monitoring, performance analysis, capacity planning, and proactive fault management of Ericsson PS Core nodes.
You Will Bring• Strong technical expertise in Ericsson PS Core nodes including SAPC, PCRF, MME, SGW, PGW/EPG, HSS, SGSN, and GGSN.• Hands-on experience in virtualized packet core (vEPC) environments and NFVI-based deployments.• Solid knowledge of GSM, GPRS, WCDMA, and LTE packet core architecture and signaling flows.• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across PS Core network elements.• Ability to analyze KPIs, performance trends, and optimize network efficiency.• Strong understanding of telecom security compliance, password policies, audit processes, and industry best practices.• Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and operations units.
Key Qualifications• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related discipline.• Experience: Relevant years of experience in Ericsson or Huawei PS Core operations, troubleshooting, configuration, and performance management. Strong expertise in Ericsson SAPC, PCRF, vEPC (MME/SGW/PGW/EPG), HSS, SGSN, and GGSN technologies is required.
