Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Engineer - Process Engineering in Chennai, India.
What a typical day looks like:
- DFM analysis using Valor NPI and prepare DFM report in Flex standard format
- Analysis of BoM and create footprint shape for new MPNs in VPL
- Work with customer and internal stake holder for all quires in process
- Creating DFx procedure and check list as per customer requirements.
- Generating DFx reports according to findings, observations as per standards.
- Update DFx requirements and rules in tool
- Write or modify scripts, coding using Python as per application requirement.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve tool related issue on time and ensure no business impact.
- Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics
- Ensure timely generation and circulation of DFx Reports to stakeholders.
- Mentor the team and guide them towards effective deliverables.
- Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant software and tools.
- Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
- Prepare KPI Reports for Weekly / Monthly for operation review.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Diploma / bachelor’s degree – ECE / EEE / Mechanical with 4 - 7 years of experience in manufacturing industry preferably in EMS Industry.
- Skilled in PCBA process, such as: Stencil, Solder paste printing, SMT, wave-soldering, assembly and box build.
- Experience in DFx tools and hands on experience in DFM module software such Valor NPI and Vayo Pro DFM.
- Should have very good knowledge in IPC standards for PCBA assembly and PCB design
- Experience in troubleshooting of Valor NPI tool issue , VPL related issues.
- Able to work in Valor application installation and able to provide support for version migration set up
- Experience in interacting with vendor to fix the DFM software or tool related issues
- Should have experience to handle customer call and DFM review meeting with design engineer
- Experience in writing and modifying scripts, codings using Python as per application needs
- Aptitude to work with a multi-functional team to define requirements and suitable metrics for the performance of new products and process.
- Able to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Experience with Continuous Process Improvement, Kanban and Lean manufacturing principals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic startup environment
- Work with other engineering team members to improve existing design or Process.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY.
