Job Description

You will manage the financial partnering to the manufacturing locations in Chennai, working collaboratively with ISC and non-ISC functions to support the manufacturing locations in Chennai India. Also, you will work with the entire operations teams on matters related to financial analysis, issue identification, forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls and Audits. You have experience financial knowledge with a focus on productivity.

You will report to the Controller, AP ISC and work onsite in Chennai, India.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Ensure financial reporting of the manufacturing locations - results following US GAAP and Local GAAP - analysis and interpretation of results to manage risks, if any
  • Financial ownership for manufacturing locations with a focus on providing business decision support while supporting FP&A processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure predictability of financial results by guiding an AOP and quarterly forecasting process
  • Lead the monthly performance review and analysis of the plant operating results, monthly forecast, and all other ad-hoc analytical requirements. Communicate all essential monthly findings to the respective Plant Manager, ISC Finance Manager and Controller in advance of the Monthly Performance Review (MPR).
  • You will analyse operating results, and through your understanding of the results and identified risks and opportunities, recommend actions to the respective plant leadership team to improve overall operational and financial performance.
  • You will work with the respective plant leadership teams to identify, review, select and implement productivity opportunities and programmes.
  • Guide communication between the plant operations and the business units (BU). Provide the BU with information related to plant performance that may improve current/future BU costs and margins.
  • Work with the Global Analytics and Insights (GAI) team and other plant finance teams on improving and standardising global processes.
  • Should collaborate with Plant leadership, Asia Pacific Supply Chian Finance company., Global/AP and India Finance Company
  • Coordinate and monitor the remediation of all financial control issues identified by our internal and external auditors
  • Work on any special projects assigned by the ISC Controller and ISC Finance Manager
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements

Job Related Competencies:

  • FP&A and financial management experience with experience of IndAS & US GAAP.
  • Experience manufacturing financial reporting.

  • Experience communicating analytical findings for a range of different audiences.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Chartered Accountant / MBA with 10+ years of Accounting and Plant FP&A experience in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in P&L analysis, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Exposure to finance responsibilities in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, corporate governance, and statutory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Proficient in presenting detailed financial and operational insights in an understandable format.
  • Experience manufacturing environments.
  • Motivated with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and departments.
  • Exposure to finance departments like FP&A, Tax, Project Controlling, Global Finance, and Manufacturing teams.
