Someone who is equally comfortable processing month-end entries, managing cash flow, reviewing consultant utilization reports, supporting leadership decisions, and eventually owning payroll operations.

You will serve as the financial backbone of the organization, partnering closely with leadership, delivery, talent acquisition, and external accounting firms to ensure the business has accurate financial data, operational visibility, and scalable processes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape a global finance function while working directly with executive leadership.

  • Process journal entries, accruals, Prepaids, and month-end close activities.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records in QuickBooks Online.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and operating performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial data.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.

Services Business Analytics

  • Track consultant utilization and bench costs.
  • Analyze revenue by client, project, and business unit.
  • Support gross margin and project profitability reporting.
  • Provide workforce and headcount reporting to leadership teams.
  • Assist with resource planning and financial forecasting.

Payroll & Employee Finance

  • Coordinate payroll activities.
  • Manage vacation accruals, employee reimbursements, benefits reconciliations, and payroll reporting.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance across applicable jurisdictions.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with accounting firms, payroll providers, banks, and vendors.
  • Coordinate annual audits and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion of compliance-related activities.
  • Support contract reviews, invoicing processes, and commercial operations.

Process Improvement & Scale

  • Build scalable finance processes and controls.
  • Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Create reporting frameworks and dashboards that improve business visibility.
  • Help establish a world-class finance function that can support Infoya's growth globally.

Requirements
  • 7–10 years of experience in Finance, Financial Operations, Accounting, or Financial Analysis.
  • Experience working within an IT Services, Consulting, Technology Services, or Professional Services organization.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, month-end close, AP, AR, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Zoho payroll or similar accounting systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookups, financial models, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting North American entities.
  • Exposure to Canadian accounting or payroll processes.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, utilization reporting, and project profitability analysis.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or reporting tools.
  • Experience managing external accounting firms and payroll providers.

Education

  • B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance), CMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Professional accounting designations are welcome but not required.

Benefits

  • Work directly with executive leadership and influence key business decisions.
  • Build and shape a global finance function from the ground up.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
