We are looking for a very senior frontend engineer who will act as a Tech Lead within the Platform UX team. This role is focused on building, maintaining, and evolving our frontend foundations, large macro components, reusable patterns, and scalable frameworks that are used across the application.You will be part of a highly autonomous team that operates independently while delivering critical platform capabilities. As a Tech Lead, you will lead projects end to end, collaborate across functions, and contribute to planning and delivery strategy to ensure platform initiatives are aligned with long-term goals. You will also work closely with the Design System and Frontend Platform teams to drive platform adoption and consistency across the product.
Our tech stack is React/Redux/NodeJS on the frontend, Ruby/Ruby on Rails/MongoDB/Elasticsearch on the backend, and Kubernetes/Docker/Ansible/Terraform in infrastructure.
What You Will Do
- Architect, build, and evolve frontend foundations, frameworks, and macro components for reuse across the app
- Lead cross-team initiatives and align product squads, design system, and platform engineering
- Operate with high autonomy while ensuring platform goals and adoption are met
- Write meaningful tests to guarantee reliability and confidence at scale
- Champion performance, accessibility, and scalability best practices across the frontend organization
- Apply strong UX and product sense to balance tradeoffs and deliver the right MVP
- Write comprehensible, well-structured, and highly performant code
- Leverage AI tools for code generation, debugging, testing, and productivity optimization
- Stay current with emerging frontend and AI technologies to evolve platform capabilities
What We Are Looking For
- Strong knowledge of frontend architecture and system design, with experience building scalable UI frameworks
- Experience leading large, cross-functional projects that impact multiple teams and disciplines
- Ability to think in platform terms and deliver solutions that scale across teams
- Proven expertise in performance optimization, accessibility, and usability at scale
- Pragmatic product mindset with the ability to balance technical depth and business value
- Ability to advocate for adoption of platform components, patterns, and systems
- Demonstrated experience integrating and using AI tools to accelerate development workflows
- Readiness to take on a Tech Lead role, influencing the direction of the frontend platform and mentoring others
- B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of total experience as Software Engineer in frontend development; at least 1-2 years in senior position, developing large-scale applications
- Solid understanding of core JavaScript (ES6), React, Redux, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of REST APIs
- Experience with Cypress in writing meaningful tests
- Interest in building UI with performance, accessibility and scalability in mind
- Strong UX and product sense with the ability to negotiate the right MVP
- Your code is comprehensible, well-structured, highly performant
- Strong knowledge of Frontend Architecture and System Design
- Proven experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development processes, including code generation, debugging, andproductivity optimization. Candidates should demonstrate fluency in integrating AI-driven solutions into their workflows and a willingness to stay current with emerging AI technologies
