Role Summary

Barry Wehmiller India is looking for a Instructional Designer & Content Creator who can independently translate strategy, raw inputs, and subject-matter expertise into high-quality training and communication assets.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is equally strong in instructional design, visual storytelling, digital content tools, and structured communication. The role will support engineering capability building, leadership training, systems/process enablement, and internal communications, with potential to scale content across platforms.

    • Structured training decks

    • E-learning modules

    • Facilitator guides

    • Participant workbooks

    • Job aids, playbooks, and reference guides

    • Virtual instructor-led training

    • Self-paced digital learning

  • Ensure learning assets are easy to update, reuse, and scale.

3. Visual & Presentation Design

  • Create high-quality, professional presentations for:

    • Training programs

    • Leadership sessions

    • Town halls

  • Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and quality across communications.

5. Tools & Platforms (Must be hands-on)

  • Strong working expertise in:

    • Articulate 360 (Storyline / Rise) or similar e-learning authoring tools

    • PowerPoint / Google Slides (advanced)

    • Word / Google Docs (structured documentation)

    • Visual design tools (Canva, Figma, or equivalent)

    • Video / screen capture tools (basic editing)

  • Familiarity with:

    • LMS platforms

    • SharePoint / Teams / content repositories

  • Ability to create and maintain templates, standards, and reusable assets.

6. Collaboration & Ownership

  • Work closely with:

    • Engineering and functional leaders

    • Subject-matter experts across GCC and platforms

  • Extract clarity from ambiguous or complex inputs.

  • Operate with high ownership and minimal supervision.

  • Manage multiple deliverables and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Basic video editing or animation skills

Good-to-Have

  • Experience creating leadership development or capability-building content

  • Exposure to global or matrix organizations

  • Experience designing blended learning journeys

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
