About the role:

This role combines traditional database administration duties with AWS DevOps Skills. The DBA role involves managing, maintaining and securing an organization’s databases to ensure they operate efficiently, securely and reliable on cloud environments.

• Technologies we use to develop our products are :- Angular, Java Script, Type Script,  C++, C#, WPF, WinForms, VB 6.0, MFC, MCF, RestServices, VB.Net, ASP.NET,  JAVA, Spring Boot, Docker, OCP/Kubernetes,  RedHat Linux, COBOL, Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, .NET, J2EE Java.

What you will be doing:

• Working closely with the business analysts and developers to deliver quality product.

• Responsible for administering and maintain cloud-based databases while adhering strictly to the FIS standards.

• Hard-working and open to learn and adopt for new technologies while understanding the move to new technologies will be slow and steady for product stability.

• Be competent in handling constant change of scope and solution. Priorities can shift quickly because of our dedication to the clients and drive to keep them up and running.

• Engage with knowledge transfer activities.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• 6+ years experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).

• Hands on experience with AWS database services (Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS SQL).

• Experience in monitoring database performance and perform tuning, indexing and query optimization.

• Experience in managing, optimizing and securing our cloud-based database systems.

• Good to have AWS Cloud skills and Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Should have very good hands-on SQL concepts.

• Must have experience with Source Control Management tools and Defect Tracking tools. 

• Be competent in handling constant change of scope and solution.
