The Senior Manager Data Engineer is responsible for the architecture, implementation, and end-to-end optimization of Oracle Exadata Database Machines both On-Prem and Exadata Cloud Services (ExaCC/ExaCS). This role bridges the gap between core infrastructure management and modern data application development, ensuring 24/7 operational availability for mission-critical, large-scale (petabyte-range) data environments.

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years experience in Exadata or Oracle database administration, operations, and production support Candidate must have excellent knowledge in resolving performance tuning issues. Candidate must have experience in Monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Backup/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, HA/DR, Patching, upgrades and capacity administration. Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management. Experience in ticketing tools such as ServiceNow. Ability to document solutions and train operational teams. Experience using ZDLRA as Backup solution would be an added benefit
  • AI User: The Exadata Admin ensures Exadata systems are tuned, patched, and monitored to meet stringent SLAs, enabling AI models and analytics to run on reliable, optimized infrastructure
