The Biopharma, Patient & CDI (C4) team builds and maintains the platforms and capabilities that enable Pfizer Business Units to connect digitally with our external customers and effectively engage and collaborate across teams internally. We seek a highly motivated Solution Engineer Lead to join Pfizer's Digital Technology team for Patient Support Services solution delivery for Pfizer's Specialty Access Solution CoE. You will help Pfizer build its information technology solutions. You will leverage your technical skills to design, develop and implement IT solutions which satisfy the short term or long terms needs of Pfizer. The ideal candidate must possess extensive expertise in data architecture, data profiling and quality tools, cloud databases, AI/ML tools, and building APIs. It is your hard work and dedication that will help in making Pfizer ready to achieve new milestones and help patients.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines for ETL processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and integration strategies, while ensuring the pipelines can handle large volumes of data.
- Oversee the preprocessing of data within the PSSP system, ensuring high data quality across dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and uniqueness.
- Identify data quality gaps and issues and take necessary actions to address them.
- Design and implement a standardized data structure, harmonize attribute values, and create a configurable framework with data quality and standardization rules.
- Establish and enforce data governance practices, define and implement data quality and standardization rules, and collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain data models, schemas, and data dictionaries, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Oversee the delivery team to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery of PSSP projects, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members
You will have the opportunity to:
- Deliver data reliably, efficiently, and with best-in-class data governance, ensuring security and compliance.
- Collaborate with analytics leads and business SMEs to understand data requirements and ensure the rules engine meets their needs.
- Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manages a list of technical requirements based on business needs, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
- Coordinate across many stakeholders, creating a collaborative network with critical internal and external stakeholders. This can include outside contractors such as software vendors, data providers and specialty pharmacy customers.
- Partner with the Digital Client Partners to align on priorities, processes and governance and ensure experimentation to activate innovation and pipeline value
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience emphasizing application support, development, or systems engineering.
- Proven experience and demonstrated skills with AWS technologies, Snowflake, Informatica Intelligence Cloud Services tools, Python, R and exposure to JS, Tableau and Data IKU
- Demonstrated ability to take appropriate risks, share responsibilities and credit, celebrate/reward accomplishments, and instill in others a sense of urgency and ownership
- Experience leading solution delivery teams supporting cloud applications and analytics
- Experience managing vendors and contracted resources in a staff augmentation and outsourcing model.
- Ambition to learn and utilize emerging technologies while working in a stimulating team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree
- Knowledge of systems within the Patient Services function.
- Ability to adapt to changing working conditions and work assignments, to be open, and motivated to learn and adopt new ideas and concepts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment across business functions to influence a desired outcome
- Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes
