The successful candidate will combine deep Workday expertise with a curious, forward-looking mindset, eager to explore and deploy emerging technologies to transform how People programs are delivered. You will be a trusted advisor, helping shape how Workday and AI capabilities drive efficiency, insights, and innovation at scale.
To support our global teams effectively, this role will require you to align your working hours closely with US working hours, especially during training. The working hour expectations are as follows:
- Monday - Thursday: ~3:30pm-12:30am IST
 - Friday: more flexible working hours ~10am-7pm IST

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday modules, with emphasis on Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, and HCM.
 - Partner with business stakholders to translate requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
 - Provide expert post-production support, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations.
 - Evaluate new Workday releases and features, recommending enhancements that align with Coursera’s People strategy.
 - Collaborate with the Reporting and Security teams to maintain data integrity, governance, and compliance.
 - Implement and operationalise AI-enabled applications for the People Team (e.g., AI Agents, predictive analytics for attrition, automated workflows, etc.).
 - Identify opportunities to embed AI-driven features within Workday, such as intelligent reporting, virtual assistants, and process automation.
 - Partner with internal technical teams and vendors to design, pilot, and scale AI solutions that improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
 - Lead stakeholder technical communications, change management, and user enablement for Workday and AI initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- 4–10 years of Workday functional experience, with strong expertise in Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Prism, Reporting, and HCM.
 - Workday certifications in Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking are strongly preferred.
 - Strong post-production support experience; full-cycle implementation experience preferred.
 - Proven experience implementing AI solutions in HR technology or People operations (e.g., Workday, chatbots, analytics tools).
 - A highly curious learner with a strong interest in exploring and applying emerging technologies to People workflows.
 - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, global environment.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent documentation ability.
 - Effective communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
