Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industry—an industry worth over $200B. Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our Scanning & Ordering team. In this role, you’ll lead the end-to-end design of the workflows that power how dental practices scan patients and place orders—critical moments in the restorative process. You’ll work across both our Chairside application (native software on the laptops we provide with our scanners) and our Online Uploader (used by doctors submitting scans via our web portal).

You’ll partner closely with our doctors, engineers (native and full stack), product managers, and customer-facing teams to deliver intuitive, efficient, and reliable order submission experiences. This space is rich with technical challenges and meaningful impact—your work will directly shape how doctors care for their patients.

What You'll Do

  • Own the End-to-End Scan & Order Workflow

    • Design the whole experience of how doctors scan patients and submit orders—across both our native Chairside application and Online Uploader. Partner with PMs, engineers, and customers to identify friction points and deliver seamless, intuitive workflows that support high-quality restorations at scale.

  • Design for Performance, Precision, and Simplicity

    • Create clean, efficient UIs that can handle complex interactions—from scanner integrations and file types to offline workflows and native Windows constraints. Leverage innovations from our ML/AI team to reduce manual steps and streamline even the most complex submissions.

  • Translate Technical/Dental Complexity into Clarity

    • Collaborate across full-stack and native engineering teams to design interfaces that simplify highly technical processes. Ensure that practices can confidently transition from patient scan to final order without requiring extensive technical knowledge.

  • Validate, Iterate, and Improve

    • Use usability testing, customer interviews, and product analytics to refine and evolve your designs. Ground decisions in data and real-world feedback to ensure you're building solutions that truly work for our customers.

  • Champion the Doctor Experience

    • Advocate for our users at every stage—ensuring the tools we build make their day easier, not harder—balance speed, clarity, and flexibility to create experiences that doctors trust and enjoy using daily.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of product design experience, including experience owning complex customer-facing flows

  • A portfolio that showcases industry work and effective storytelling—framing problems, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving to user outcomes

  • Ability to drive strategy for your product area by grounding decisions in deep customer insights and crafting compelling narratives that align stakeholders and build buy-in.

  • Ability to balance business goals, data insights, and user needs to shape your design approach.

  • Strong understanding of user research and applying both qualitative and quantitative data

  • Thoughtful about fidelity and time—knowing when to move fast vs. when to invest in polish

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Bonus Points For

  • Experience designing for native or hybrid applications.

  • Background in medical/dental/healthcare tech.

  • Familiarity with B2B or workflow-intensive tools.
