Who We Are:
Ghost Story Games is a self-publishing game development studio founded by Ken Levine (Creative Director of System Shock 2, Bioshock, and Bioshock Infinite) and former Irrational Games developers. The studio’s mission is to create narrative-driven experiences rooted in immersive world building and gameplay.
The Challenge:
Ghost Story Games is seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to join us on Judas, the highly anticipated game led by Ken Levine (System Shock 2, BioShock series). Unique in its bold, creative vision, Judas is also built upon novel technology by which the visual world, gameplay, and story unfolds in meaningful, dynamic ways. The result is a significant and personal journey adapted to each player’s experience and offers a new approach to the art and storytelling of video games.
We’re a small, agile studio handling the entire development and publishing lifecycle of our games. As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a vital role in driving project execution across disciplines, helping ensure teams stay focused, milestones are met, and communication flows seamlessly. You’ll work with leadership and developers alike to keep the project organized, flexible, and moving forward — from prototype through release and beyond.
What You’ll Take On:
Lead and coordinate planning and delivery efforts across design, engineering, art, audio, QA, and publishing teams.
Collaborate with team leads and studio leadership to build and maintain project roadmaps, feature schedules, and milestone plans.
Track progress on key deliverables, anticipate bottlenecks, surface risks, and drive proactive solutions.
Run daily standups, sprint planning sessions, milestone reviews, and retrospectives to maintain accountability and clarity.
Manage build schedules and release readiness — including certification timelines, QA coordination, and launch preparedness.
Serve as a point of contact between cross-functional teams, ensuring goals and expectations are clearly aligned across departments.
Support the studio's development culture by continuously improving workflows, documentation, tooling, and communication processes.
Assist with vendor and partner coordination, including platform holders, localization teams, and other external contributors.
What You Bring:
4+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Producer, or Program Manager in the game industry or a closely related field.
A strong understanding of game development workflows, pipelines, and production challenges.
Familiarity with Unreal Engine (4 or 5), task tracking tools (e.g., Jira), and version control (e.g., Perforce, Git).
Experience managing complex projects with multiple teams and overlapping dependencies.
A proactive, adaptable mindset with strong follow-through and problem-solving instincts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and alignment.
Ability to thrive in a small, fast-moving, hands-on team environment.
A passion for games and an interest in participating across the full game development lifecycle.
Great to Have:
Experience with live game operations, release pipelines, or patch scheduling.
Familiarity with console and platform certification (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, etc.).
Exposure to publishing or marketing workflows, including community management and storefront coordination.
Interest in improving team efficiency through tooling, automation, or workflow optimization.
