Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer (Database Testing) Experience Level: 8+ Location: Chennai( 5 days work from Office ) Shift Timings : 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (QE) with a strong background in Data Engineering, specifically with Azure Data Factory, Data Vault, and Azure Synapse. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in quality engineering and data engineering practices, with a proven track record of ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency across complex data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Quality Assurance: o Develop and implement comprehensive data quality assurance strategies and frameworks. o Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data validation and ETL processes. o Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness in data integration and transformation processes.
2. Azure Data Factory: o Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory. o Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines. o Monitor and troubleshoot data integration workflows.
3. Data Vault Methodology: o Implement and maintain Data Vault modeling techniques for data warehousing. o Ensure the scalability and flexibility of data warehouse solutions using Data Vault. o Collaborate with data architects and modelers to design robust and efficient data models.
4. Azure Synapse Analytics: o Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics for big data processing and advanced analytics. o Ensure seamless integration between Azure Synapse and other Azure data services. o Perform data profiling, data cleansing, and data enrichment tasks.
5. Automation and Tooling: o Develop automated testing frameworks for data validation and ETL processes. o Implement CI/CD pipelines for data integration and deployment. o Utilize tools like PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages for automation.
6. Collaboration and Communication: o Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure quality. o Provide clear and concise documentation of data quality processes and findings. o Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions on data quality best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in quality engineering and data engineering.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Data Vault, and Azure Synapse.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with data modeling techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and other query languages.
• Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and data enrichment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications in Azure data services or related technologies.
• Experience with big data technologies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with other Azure services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI.
