OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Global Blue Issuing Client team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that align with business goals and enhance customer satisfaction. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will establish, implement, and uphold rigorous quality standards across projects, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of applications. Your contribution will drive efficiency in the software development lifecycle and deliver software products that meet high-quality benchmarks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead quality assurance efforts across critical projects, particularly for mobile devices.
- Provide technical expertise and mentor team members to elevate overall QA capabilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases. (TestRail)
- Define and implement QA strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Understand the business case and processes to perform exploratory tests.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure thorough testing of features, including edge cases and negative scenarios.
- Work closely with developers and product owners to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Document test results, prepare reports, and communicate progress to stakeholders. (Jira, Confluence)
- Provide input for release notes and ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.
- Maintain the automation framework and automated test cases to reduce manual efforts and deliver quick test results.
Competencies
- Critically evaluate requirements and identify gaps or inconsistencies.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including developers, product teams, and management.
- Proficient in tools such as Jira, TestRail, Postman, and Fiddler.
- Strong focus on identifying and documenting edge cases and issues.
- Prioritizing testing tasks based on business impact, risk assessment, and timelines.
Skills
- Deep understanding of QA best practices, standards, and quality metrics.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, isolate, and document bugs effectively.
- Team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Experience with mobile testing for iOS and Android platforms.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Qualifications and education requirements
- University Degree in IT, Mobile Computing, or any technology-related field (or an equivalent working experience)
- English language – fluent written and spoken
- 5+ years of experience as a QA engineer
- Solid understanding of QA responsibilities within an agile software development team SCRUM
- Extensive experience in testing applications running on mobile devices
- Experience with Payment Mobile Devices is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Java is a plus
- ISTQB certificate is a plus
