About the role
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to assume a primary execution role within one of our three dedicated implementation teams and ensure comprehensive Quality Assurance coverage across the specified modules.
You will report directly to the Head of QA and will be working closely with Development and Product to ensure delivery of high-quality marketing platform. By participating in end-to-end testing lifecycle-from feature planning to post-release. While providing daily technical guidance and mentorship to fellow QA Engineers.

What You’ll Do
- Execution: Act as the main testing force for your implementation team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality marketing platform.
- Automation & API: Design, write, and maintain robust UI automation using C#, Selenium, and xUnit, and manage API testing using Postman and Newman.
- Hands-on Testing: Perform comprehensive manual and exploratory testing across the full technology stack, including web applications, microservices, databases, and Azure/Microsoft function apps. Testing will cover the entire software delivery lifecycle, from local development to staging and post-production environments.
- Team Mentorship: Provide direct help and support to the QA Engineer in your team, helping them translate their skills into real-world software solutions.
- Lifecycle Integration: Participate in sprint ceremonies and refinement sessions to identify risks and improve testability before development begins.
- Bug Triage & Investigation: Use SQL queries, application logs, and browser dev tools to investigate complex issues and user queries.
- Release Ownership: Document test cases and regression steps in Azure DevOps and support the product deployment and release processes.
How You Will Succeed
- Take full ownership of QA execution within your implementation team and consistently deliver high-quality releases.
- Build and maintain reliable automation frameworks that improve regression coverage and reduce manual effort.
- Proactively identify risks early in the development lifecycle and drive quality improvements before code reaches production.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with business goals.
- Mentor and support team members to elevate overall QA standards and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Communication: Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Work Hours: Ability to work UK business hours.
- 7+ Years Experience: Extensive background in software testing within Agile environments.
- Automation Mastery: Advanced proficiency in coding with C# and building automation frameworks. Familiarity with writing automated tests. Some exposure to coding with C# or any other high-level programming language.
- Tooling: Mastery of Azure DevOps, Git, and SQL (MSSQL). Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or Boards. Familiarity with version control (Git). Basic understanding of SQL (MSSQL).
- Technical Depth: Solid knowledge of DOM manipulation, scripting (PowerShell), and Cloud technologies (Azure). Knowledge of DOM manipulation. Scripting experience with PowerShell. Experience with Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure). Exposure to API testing. Ability to read/debug application logs.
- Testing Skills: Awareness of different testing types and heuristics used for web testing. Manual testing and exploratory testing experience. Knowledge of white-box and black-box testing techniques. Experience writing test cases. Understanding of Agile methodologies and TDD practices.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of marketing technology or e-commerce platforms handling high volumes of data is highly desirable.
- Qualifications: Degree, diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a computer science-related field.
Additional Skills: Skills in using workflow or diagramming tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
