The Senior QA Specialist will develop and execute test plans, conduct testing, collaborate with development teams, and generate reports while ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of modern software development lifecycles
- Experience testing GUI applications, web services and/or web applications (backend and frontend)
- Proficient in backend testing including writing SQL queries for testing data integrity
- Develops Test Approach, Test Plan, Test Schedule, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases based on requirements
- Analyzes requirements, coordinates with BA’s / Subject Matter Experts.
- Identifies test conditions and / or creates test cases.
- Conducts and/or participates in peer reviews of test cases and test plans.
- Creates / Condition’s test data for test execution.
- Provide test execution summary/updates
- Participate in peer reviews, testing process improvements, and other testing related activities.
- Execute Manual Tests, also ability to Update / Maintain and execute automated tests scripts
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and resolve bugs and issues during the software development lifecycle
- Generate and deliver detailed test reports to stakeholders, summarizing results and providing actionable recommendations
- Validates release notes.
- Identifies and reports risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust to meet the needs of the audience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering
- Strong experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies
- Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium or equivalent frameworks
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript for test automation
- Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
