Job Title: Senior QA Testing & Automation - Quality Assurance Analyst
Job Location: Bangalore/Pune/ Gurgaon
This position involves analysis, design, and consulting support, as well as developing an understanding of our clients’ strategic direction, issues, and project goals. The successful candidate must be able to bridge the gap between technology requirements and end-users and assist in documenting, evaluating, and executing test cases of IT applications. An understanding of quality assurance methodologies within the financial services /Energy industry (QA strategy, test case development, requirements mapping, test execution, defect/bug lifecycle) is an essential factor for success in this role.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Execute the test strategy and approach
- Participate in the defect management approach - set-up processes and facilitate defect management meetings
- Work with client stakeholders and internal teams to understand business requirements, coordinate testing activities, and communicate test results
- Assist in defining procedures and controls to identify gaps between user requirements and test scripts
- Analyze, develop and propose enhancements to current business processes, reports and applications in order to optimize system effectiveness
- Produce high-quality verbal and written consulting deliverables (including customer presentations, consulting reports) to effectively communicate project findings
- Generate re-usable intellectual capital in the form of templates, test plans and test cases
- Document and communicate QA-related risks to project leadership
What You’ll Bring with You:
- 6+ months of Quality Assurance experience
- Bachelor’s degree required with a major in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business or Financial Engineering preferred. (An advanced degree is desirable)
- Background in financial services or Energy a plus
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) Frameworks and Defect Life Cycle Process
- Solid Quality Assurance skills, including experience smoke testing, functional testing, regression testing interface testing, negative testing, and user acceptance testing
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail
- Tremendous organization, prioritization, and time management skills
