The Senior SDET will lead test strategies for both manual and automation processes, focusing on API and microservices testing, while collaborating with the product engineering team and enhancing test coverage and tools.
About the Role
As a Senior SDET engineer, you would need to be able to lead and implement the test strategy by working closely with the product engineering team. Your testing strategy has to focus on efficiency, speed and accuracy by prioritizing automation tests, automation processes then closing with manual to ensure not losing user touch points.

What You Will Do
- Work closely with the product engineering team (i.e., PMs, Designers, Developers, and SDET/QA) right from the inception of features;
- Participate in product, design & tech discussions, and refine the acceptance criteria plus the testing effort;
- Understand business and product requirements as related to payments and the existing service architecture;
- Write concise, comprehensive, detailed test plans based on feature and technical requirements;
- Improve the test automation experience by enhancing the framework, test scripts, test coverage, execution time and report.
- Take responsibility and ownership of the overall quality, be it application/service;
- Debug and analyze the bugs in the application/service, aiding developers in arriving at the root cause;
What You Will Need
- At least a minimum of 5 years of experience in professional testing in Backend; (experience in Payments domain is a plus)
- Proficient in one or more scripting languages: Java/Python;
- Proficient in open-source automation libraries like Rest Assured;
- Deep knowledge of continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) tooling (GitLab, Jenkins);
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, including architecture design, development, and scripting experience;
- Excellent in complex testing in Backend with a strong user mindset;
- Excellent analytical, debugging skills, and problem-solving with attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration;
- Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines;
