As a Senior SDETin the Product Engineering team at Cyara, you will be responsible for creating testing tools, simulators, automating testing processes, conducting various types of tests, reporting and analysing defects, and ensuring adherence to quality practices.You will gather requirements from Product Management and turn them into working software that satisfies market needs. You will develop, revise, and maintain software artifacts and product engineering processes/methodologies to meet functional, scale, and performance criteria. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, Tech Lead, and team members to define and expand the team’s quality practices. 
  • Developing, debugging, and maintaining web automated test scripts and test cases using a number of testing tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Axe and Jest. 
  • Drivingdifferent types of testing activities, including contract testing, integration testing, functional testing, end-to-end testing, acceptance testing, performance testing, and smoke testing. 
  • Reporting defects that are found during test runs and carrying out root cause analysis on defects to ensure fixes are happening in the right way whenever possible. 
  • Representing your team at QA Chapter meetings. 
  • Participating in team Agile ceremonies (planning, daily scrum, retrospectives, etc.) 
  • Participating in technical discussions with developers within your team and across teams 
  • Participating in exploratory manual testing as required. 
  • Adhering to quality assurance best practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). 
  • Providing developer support to Cloud Operations concerning CI/CD, production system troubleshooting and timely issue resolution. 

Let’s talk about your skills/expertise:

  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance development of large scale web applications 
  • Experience with .NET Technologies (.NET Core is a plus) 
  • Experience with frontend development frameworks, preferably React 
  • Experience with OOP, preferably C# and/or C++, and JavaScript 
  • Knowledge and experience working with databases, preferably experience with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL 
  • Be a switched-on self-starter with excellent communication skills 
  • Experience using microservices architectures 
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and practice
  • Proven track record for contributing to positive change as an Agile team member. 
  • A deep understanding and extensive work experience with several test automation tools for client testing, backend testing (including APIs), and end-to-end integration testing (e.g. Cypress.io, Selenium, Jest, Nunit, AppliTools, Mocha etc). 
  • A proactive, quality-oriented self-learner, independent, and a great team player. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications. 
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability with strong organizational skills. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Computer Science or related field is preferred), or equivalent relevant experience
