Who We Are
Atlan is building the missing context layer for data and AI, helping enterprises close the AI value chasm. Today, 95% of AI pilots fail because AI systems don’t understand the context behind data: what it means, how it’s governed, and how it should be used.
Atlan connects to every part of the modern data and AI stack to unify this context into a single, shared layer that both humans and AI agents can rely on.
With Atlan, teams can discover, understand, and trust their data; build and collaborate on a shared body of knowledge; and activate that context across analytics, operations, and AI workflows.Trusted by global enterprises like Mastercard, Workday, General Motors, Unilever, Ralph Lauren, FOX, Nasdaq, and Medtronic, we’re backed by world-class investors including GIC, Insight Partners, Meritech, Peak XV, and Salesforce Ventures
Integration Studio owns Atlan’s connector ecosystem — the ingestion pipelines, metadata processing systems, and lineage signals that connect Atlan to the outside world. This ecosystem spans 80+ supported connectors across databases, data warehouses, BI tools, and enterprise platforms, and is built and operated by multiple pods within Integration Studio.
As the number of connectors, source systems, and partner-driven integrations continues to grow, DevOps and infrastructure lifecycle management has become a critical scaling concern. Connector engineers frequently need environments, credentials, and supporting infrastructure to build, test, and evolve integrations efficiently.
Integration Studio is also scaling into new source domains and adopting AI-assisted development as the default. To support this, we need robust, reliable DevOps foundations that reduce manual work, improve consistency, and allow engineers to move faster without managing infrastructure themselves.
We are hiring a DevOps Engineer – Integration Studio to take ownership of infrastructure automation and operational enablement for the connector teams. This role focuses on building self-service workflows, improving reliability, and managing infrastructure lifecycle so that connector engineers can stay focused on building and maintaining integrations
What You’ll DoDesign, build, and own DevOps automation that supports Atlan’s connector ecosystem across Integration Studio.
Own infrastructure lifecycle workflows — including provisioning, upgrades, teardown, and cost hygiene — for environments used by connector engineers.
Build self-service tooling that allows engineering teams to spin up and retire environments safely without manual DevOps intervention.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to manage cloud resources in a consistent, auditable way.
Operate and support Kubernetes-based runtimes on AWS used for connector execution and ephemeral development and testing environments.
Solve operational-scale problems such as environment drift, resource sprawl, secrets management, access control, and security boundaries.
Standardize DevOps patterns and workflows while supporting necessary source- or environment-specific variations.
Automate upgrades of shared runtimes and dependencies, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing connector development.
Improve observability, reliability, and cost efficiency of infrastructure and DevOps workflows.
Partner closely with connector engineering teams to understand recurring DevOps pain points and translate them into scalable automation and tooling.
Act as the primary DevOps owner for Integration Studio, setting standards and best practices for how infrastructure is provisioned and operated.
What Makes You a Match
5–8+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience supporting production systems.
Strong Infrastructure as Code expertise, especially with Terraform.
Solid experience operating AWS environments, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and security.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, particularly for shared and ephemeral environments.
Strong automation and scripting skills, primarily using Python and shell scripting.
Experience with secrets management and secure access control, with an understanding of blast radius and failure modes.
Comfort owning DevOps systems end to end, balancing reliability, velocity, and cost.
Experience supporting integration-heavy or data-intensive systems, such as ETL pipelines or platforms that interact with many external systems.
Bonus points
Experience supporting large-scale, integration-heavy or data-intensive platforms
Familiarity with workflow orchestrators like Temporal or Argo
Interest in using AI-assisted tools to improve DevOps workflows and operational efficiencyFamiliarity with cloud platforms beyond AWS (such as GCP or Azure) and an understanding of how core cloud primitives translate across providers.
More About Us
Atlan is building the shared context layer that enterprises need so AI can operate on trusted, governed context. The conversation has moved from data leaders asking: “Can we trust the data in our stack?” to businesses asking: “Can we trust AI inside the business?”
We are the missing infrastructure for businesses becoming AI-forward - the connective tissue between their data stack, operational systems, and AI agents.
Recognized as an industry-leading metadata, catalog, and data governance platform, we’ve been named a Leader by both Gartner and Forrester across enterprise data catalogs, metadata management, and governance.
