Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
EDI Architecture, Configuration & Implementation
Design, configure, and deploy new EDI messages, including map development and transformation logic across ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards.
Lead the onboarding and integration of new trading partners, ensuring end-to-end connectivity, testing, and operational readiness.
Validate and optimize EDI configurations to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with global standards.
Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution
Monitor EDI queues, message flows, and system performance across Production, DR, and Test environments.
Diagnose and resolve EDI errors, failures, and exceptions in real time, minimizing business disruption.
Serve as the senior escalation point for complex customer-reported EDI issues.
Support P1 incidents and participate in 24×7 standby rotations when required.
Customer Consulting & Technical Leadership
Provide expert guidance to customers on EDI best practices, onboarding strategies, migration planning, and integration design.
Conduct EDI health checks, assessments, configuration reviews, and troubleshooting workshops.
Mentor junior EDI engineers and apprentices, providing training and knowledge transfer.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Database, Application Support, and Product teams to ensure end-to-end integration success.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational standards, and documentation requirements.
Contribute to standardization of EDI processes, templates, checklists, and diagnostic tools.
Recommend improvements to monitoring, alerting, and error-handling workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
6–8 years of hands-on EDI experience in enterprise software, logistics, maritime, or supply chain environments.
Strong proficiency in:
UN/EDIFACT (BAPLIE, COPARN, COPRAR, 315, etc.)
ANSI X12 (214, 310, 322, 404, etc.)
Strong understanding of message envelopes, segments, acknowledgements (CONTRL, 997), and trading partner communication channels.
Proven track record of EDI integration, testing, mapping, and production support.
Desired / Advantageous
Experience with Kaleris / Navis N4 TOS EDI.
Maritime, logistics, or supply chain industry domain knowledge.
Experience with SFTP/AS2 communication, message queues, and mapping tools.
Experience supporting distributed, global teams.
