The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing engineering deliverables for product sales, customer acquisition, and servicing solutions. This includes oversight of core application initiatives, leading technical delivery, and collaborating with business partners to ensure the technical solutions meet user needs. The role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of Life Policy administration systems.
Purpose of the Role
- • Responsible to develop/deliver engineering deliverables for Products Sales, Customer acquisition and Servicing solutions that includes Core Applications (Life Asia), CCM Solutions, Underwriting Engines, Workflow, Middleware Integration with Front End/Mobile applications etc.
- • Work closely with Business Product Owners, Tech-Delivery-Leads and other technical team members to define the technical design for Product Launches, Post launch product features build, Enhancements and other new project initiatives
- • Responsible for technical Solution to meet demand and guide junior IT members in the team
Role Attributes

- This role will be one of the SME for Core application related Initiatives
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with business product owners to drive Product & Proposition target or Customer Service deliverables
- Lead the technical delivery of assigned tasks / projects.
- Building relationships with Delivery leads, other Engineering team members and business users across the organization. Being able to engage and articulate the technical solution across team is critical to this role.
- Contributes for the overall Policy Admin System architecture and design, providing best practice guidance and patterns.
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of the industry verticals, critical for implementation.
- Maintaining a complete awareness of the Insurance/Financial Industries latest updates and developments allowing you to support/suggest appropriate solution for user needs
- Task driven. Be able to control and commit to the agreed timeline.

- Recommending proper solutions for any issues / challenges faced by users
Requirements Experience
- Deep understanding of Life Policy admins features and functionalities
- 5- 7 years Insurance/Financial Industry experience with a minimum of 5 years on Supporting Core Policy Admin systems especially Life Asia/Life400.
- knowledge of Surrounding applications like underwriting engine, Front end / mobile applications, and workflow.
- Good experience in omnichannel Integration
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Knowledge of integrating with other surrounding applications around core application like Sales Portals, Workflow, and underwriting engines.
- Solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset paired with strong communication skills.
- Very good conceptual and analytical skills and a high motivation to define process automation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional and collaborative team environment
- Experience in application integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Agile / Iterative delivery methodology.
