KONE Installation operations have tens of thousands visits per day facing customers and ensuring fluent products’ operations. elevators, escalators, building doors and turnstiles equipment in over 60 countries.

We are now looking for Specialist / Senior Specialist, Installation Tools to Join our Global Installation Tools, Operations team at ITEC, Chennai. As a member of the Global Installation Tools Development and Maintenance Tribe, you will contribute to enhancing safety, quality, and productivity in KONE's delivery operations worldwide. Your role will focus on design and development of KONE installation tools aligned with approved methods, along with conducting risk assessments

Key Responsibilities:

• Support installation-related development activities by designing technical solutions that meet the following criteria:
  • Functional performance
  • Quality and reliability
  • Cost efficiency
  • Manufacturability
  • Seamless integration with other technologies
  • Compliance with relevant technical standards and codes
• Prepare comprehensive design and engineering documentation (e.g., SO, AM Documents).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across KONE Global Installation, Global R&D, Global Supply Line, and country-specific units.

Desired Skills & Attributes:

• Solid foundation in engineering principles and strength calculations.
• Interest in or experience with digitalization, process optimization, and KONE’s “Every Second Counts” strategy.
• A proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

To be successful on this role, the preferred candidate will have

• Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering or related field
• Experience: 5-7 years working experience in Mechanical design
• Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Better to have skill with Creo parameter design and PDM script create.
• Experience of design for Installation principles and field experience.
• Experience in Agile ways of working and deep technical knowledge about the component design as benefit.
• Be responsible, open-minded and willing to communicate and cooperate with others.
• Good attitude and take initiative to lead actions.
