Job DescriptionREQUIREMENTS:
- Total experience 10+ years.
- Deep knowledge of MongoDB database administration.
- Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture and internals.
- Experience with backup/restore, replica set, sharding, and patching/upgrades.
- Hands-on with Ops Manager for MongoDB monitoring and management.
- Proven experience in the banking/financial services domain is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Good understanding of Agile practices and modern automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Extensive experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
- Expertise in PostgreSQL HA, clustering, and monitoring tools.
- Proficient in backup/restore, performance tuning, and diagnostics.
- Good knowledge of SQL and PG PL/SQL.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer, monitor, and optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery across environments.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations.
- Implement and manage security best practices, logging, and auditing.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues efficiently.
- Automate database administration tasks using Bash/Python/Ansible.
- Handle backup/restore, upgrades, replication, sharding, and performance tuning.
- Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) for critical applications.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
