Senior Strategic Finance Business Partner
Adyen is looking for a Senior Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our Strategic Finance team within Group Finance. Our team is organized across regions and commercial pillars. As a Senior Strategic Finance Business Partner you play an integral role, partnering with our commercial teams and other stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support (long-term) strategic planning and decision-making. The Strategic Finance team has a global presence in the United States, Singapore, Brazil and Amsterdam. This role is a full-time position in Amsterdam and reports into the Team Lead of Strategic Finance.
What you’ll do
- Build strong collaborative relationships with (commercial) leadership in the business to define and drive (financial) strategy, aligned with Adyen’s long-term growth drivers;
- Lead complex financial analysis and modeling to uncover strategic opportunities, assess risks, and translate intricate data into compelling, executive-level insights;
- Independently own and lead the financial assessment of high-impact business cases and strategic projects, providing critical challenge and guidance to ensure robust decision-making;
- Drive key initiatives within the Group Finance team, playing a pivotal role in shaping financial planning, forecasting processes and other strategic initiatives
Who you are
- 10+ years of experience as a Strategic Finance Business Partner, Business Controller or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced, global, and multinational environment.
- A strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to seamlessly balance long-term strategic vision with effective short-term execution in a complex, dynamic and evolving business landscape.
- Highly data-driven and possess a strong ability to translate complex financial and non-financial data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
- You possess a high degree of self-motivation, ambition, and a hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit, thriving in environments with a degree of uncertainty and a drive to shape the future.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with multicultural teams across regions and different time zones.
- While not mandatory, familiarity with SQL or other data analysis tools would be a strong advantage.
